Newsletter FSPPM Summer 2024

July 26, 2024

Dear FSPPM Community,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the Summer 2024 edition of the Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management (FSPPM) Newsletter. This season has been a remarkable period of growth, collaboration, and innovation for our community.

The highlight of this quarter was the Vietnam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) 2024 organized by FSPPM in collaboration with Harvard Kennedy School. This dynamic event brought together distinguished leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, for indepth discussions on critical issues such as the globale conomy, AI revolution, and strategies to overcome the middle-income trap.

Our academic endeavors continued to flourish within spiring guest lectures and workshops. Highlights included Mr. Phan Van Hoang Son's lecture on data driven decision-making and a workshop on Zero-Emission Vehicles policy, which attracted a diverse group of participants eager to explore sustainable transportation solutions for Vietnam. We also successfully conducted information days in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, providing prospective students with an immersive experience into our programs and connecting them with our vibrant Fulbright community.

Our research and policy dialogue activities have made significant strides. Notably, the Fulbright Review of Economics and Policy (FREP) is set to publish its first issue of 2024, featuring contributions from prominent scholars and our own talented students. These publications reflect our ongoing efforts to address pressing economic and policy challenges through rigorous research and scholarly discourse.

Student and alumni activities have been equally dynamic. Our MPP2024 students embarked on a transformative study course in the U.S., engaging with leading academics and exploring pivotal topics that shape public policy and economic development. Furthermore, our community has established professional clubs to foster collaboration and engagement across various sectors, including Health, Law, Energy, Urban Economics, and Business.

As we look ahead, we are excited about the upcoming events and programs that will continue to enrich our academic environment and extend our impact. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey. We hope you enjoy this edition of our newsletter and join us in celebrating the achievements and aspirations of the FSPPM community.

Warm regards,

Editoral Board
