Local cooperation initiatives are conducted through a 3-step process: analysis of competitiveness and development strategies of local areas; deliver training programs and policy dialogues; and policy consultation under dual participation mechanisms.
The programs focus on topics such as Public Management, Leadership in the Public Sector, Public Governance, Local Economic Development Strategies, Appraisal of Public Investment, Urban Planning and Management, and International Integration and Local Development. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive the Certificate of Completion awarded by the Dean of the Fulbright School.
To this date, Fulbright School has expanded this initiative nationwide in various provinces such as Tay Ninh, An Giang, Dong Thap, Quang Nam, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Ha Giang and Thai Nguyen, etc.
From 2018 onwards, Fulbright School leads the project "Capacity building and applied research for an inclusive public finance" funded by International Development Research Center. The course is administered for senior leaders of Myanmar National Assembly and governmental agencies.
