Leading started with the formation of human society and is among critical factors to the development of society and organization. Leadership therefore always attracts special attention. As society becomes more volatile, leaders increasingly face challenges that affect the very existence and development of communities and organizations. Exploiting opportunity and adequately dealing with development challenges to communities and organizations require strong and persuasive leadership.
The course focuses on the development of theories, practices, and capacity of modern leadership including coping with challenges, developing strategic vision, inspiring, leading change, leading in crisis and adaptive leadership. Lectures and experience sharing by guest lecturers together with case study discussions will help students reflect on their own leadership reality.
The course will deploy theoretical frameworks developed by world leading experts on leadership and several international case studies. To leverage reality and applicability for those working in Vietnam's public sector, lectures will link to real leadership cases in Vietnam. Guest lecturers will also share their leadership experience in Vietnam's public sector.
