TS. Huỳnh Thế Du là giảng viên Trường Chính sách công và Quản lý, Đại học Fulbright Việt Nam. Lĩnh vực nghiên cứu và giảng dạy chính của ông gồm: Kinh tế đô thị, Phát triển cơ sở hạ tầng và tài chính ngân hàng. Ông đã từng làm việc tại Ngân hàng Đầu tư và Phát triển Việt Nam trong giai đoạn 1996-2005. Ông thường xuyên tham gia các thảo luận chính sách ở Việt Nam. Ông có các bài báo được đăng trên các tạp chí danh tiếng quốc tế. Ông Du đã học các ngành xây dựng dân dụng, quản trị kinh doanh, kinh tế học ứng dụng và chính sách công, kinh tế phát triển, và quản lý công ở bậc đại học và cao học.

Ông nhận bằng thạc sĩ quản lý công tại Trường Harvard Kennedy năm 2010 và bằng tiến sĩ tại Trường Kiến Trúc Harvard năm 2013.
